이화여자대학교 한국여성연구원의 <지구화 시대 아시아 여성주의와 대안적 발전> 제1차 중점연구소 국제포럼에 여러분을 초대합니다.
한국여성연구원은 지난 2005년부터 한국연구재단 지원으로 중점연구소 과제인 아시아 여성주의 프로젝트를 수행하고 있습니다. 이 프로젝트는 근대, 서구, 남성 중심의 지식을 문제제기하고 \'아시아\'와 \'아시아 여성\'을 범주화함으로써 이론, 실천, 정책 수위에서 아시아 여성주의 지식을 생산하고자 하였습니다.
이번 제1차 중점연구소 국제포럼은 한국여성연구원의 오랜 연구 결과와 경험을 공유하고 아시아 여성주의자들과의 연대를 형성하고자 마련된 장입니다. 특히 이번 포럼에서는 아시아 여성주의 맥락에서 대안적 발전 패러다임을 고민하고자 합니다. 주류 발전 담론을 재고하고 아시아 여성의 경험과 운동에 기반한 여성주의 시각의 발전 담론을 논의하고자 합니다.
관심 있는 분들의 많은 참여를 기대합니다.

INVITATION

We, from the Korean Women’s Institute (KWI), cordially invite you to the international public forum on “Asian Feminisms and Alternative Development in the Age of Globalization.”
KWI has conducted an Asian Feminism research project since 2005 funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea. The project aims to interrogate the modern, western, male-centered knowledge and discourse, reconsider the category of \'Asia\' and \'Asian women\' and thus build up \'Asian feminisms\' in terms of theory, practice, and policy to counter hegemonic knowledge. This international gathering is part of our long term effort to share our research results and experiences and to build mutual solidarity with Asian feminists. Particularly, alternative development paradigms in the context of Asian feminisms will be discussed. This conference will be an opportunity to reconsider the dominant images of development and feminist visions of alternative development based on Asian women’s experiences and movements.
We look forward to discussing and envisioning with you to strengthen women\'s empowerment in the globalizing world!
